The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

“On 21/4/2021, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate in As Sadaqa area – Akkar arrested two individuals identified as “A.H.” and “A.Z.”, as they were traveling in a truck loaded with a tank with about 30 thousand liters of diesel fuel in it, intended for smuggling out of Lebanese territory.”

The arrested individuals were handed over and an investigation has been launched under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
