Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Wednesday received at the Grand Serail, Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, and discussed with him the current security situation.

During the meeting, General Aoun affirmed, “The security situation is under control, and there are no fears of individual incidents that may lead to a security chaos.”

Maj. Gen. Aoun also stressed that “the army will step up its security measures during the holiday season as part of a comprehensive security plan.”
