General Joseph Aoun, the commander of the Lebanese army, and Maurice Sleem, the caretaker defense minister, met on Monday to discuss new military operations targeting drug dealers and manufacturers.

Minister Sleem heaped praise on the “crucial national role assumed by the army” and the sacrifices of the military institution.
