Army Command arrests 8 people in southern suburbs

The Army Command – Orientation Directorate issued the following statement:

On 5 and 6/9/2021, the Intelligence Directorate arrested a number of people in different areas of the southern suburbs, according to the following:

A patrol from the Directorate in the Al-Laylaki area – the southern suburbs, arrested citizen (A.Z) for causing troubles and clashes at the fuel stations. It also arrested the citizen (H.H) for trading in military weapons and ammunition, shooting and injuring a number of people on different dates. A judicial warrant was issued against him for facilitating the escape of a prisoner and threatening security forces and treating them severely.

Another patrol from the Directorate in Al-Mreijeh area arrested citizen (J.S.) and his brother (A.S.) for taking drugs, promoting them and making problems, and they seized a quantity of drugs with them.

In Bir Hassan area, a patrol of the Intelligence Directorate stopped the citizen (A.A.) for taking drugs, stealing motorcycles, picking up citizens and steeling them by force of arms.

A patrol of the Intelligence Directorate also arrested citizen (M.A.) in Burj Al-Brajneh area, for using and promoting drugs and carrying out robberies and thefts, and a quantity of narcotics was seized in his possession.

In the Sabra area, another patrol of the Directorate arrested the citizen (M. M.) for using and promoting drugs, creating problems and terrorizing the residents of the area, and participating in the armed clashes that took place in Shatila camp earlier, and a quantity of narcotic pills was seized in his possession.

A patrol of the Directorate in Choueifat also arrested the citizen (S.H.) for using and promoting drugs, causing problems and shooting at army members, and seized a military pistol and ammunition belonging to him.

The seizures were handed over and investigations with the detainees were launched under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
