On the anniversary of the port explosion, the Armed Forces Commander, General Joseph Aoun noted that “on the fourth of last August, the blood of soldiers and civilians mixed with an explosion that shook the whole world.”

He said: “All my condolences to the families of the martyrs. May their blood carry new hope for the resurrection of Lebanon and be a motivation for achieving justice.”
