Lebanese Army Commander General Joseph Aoun has met with US mediator Amos Hochstein over the maritime border demarcation file, in the presence of US Ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea, the army said in a tweet on Tuesday.

During the meeting, General Aoun stressed to his guest that the military institution stand behind the political authority in any decision it may take regarding the demarcation file.
