The Army Command – Orientation Directorate – issued the following statement:

“On 10/19/2021, a dispute occurred in the Wadi Al-Jamous area – Akkar between members of the Al-Sayyid and Al-Tartousi families, which led to a number of deaths and injuries, against the background of a dispute that had already occurred on 10/17/2021 between members of the two mentioned families for old revenge reasons.

Army units deployed in the area intervened and worked to arrest those involved and restore calm.”
