According to Defense Minister Maurice Sleem, “the Lebanese army is the institution that protects all Lebanese under whatever conditions and that always remains the guarantor of the country’s stability and security.”

Interviewed by Radio Lebanon, the Minister heaped praise on the professionalism of the military, especially amid the current critical times. “Despite the social pressures resulting from the happening monetary meltdown, soldiers are still assuming their mission with utter professionalism,” he said.

He went on to say that protecting the people and the nation is sacred to the military institution.
