The Minister of Education and Higher Education in the caretaker government, Dr. Tariq Majzoub, visited the Governor of the Banque du Liban, Riad Salameh, accompanied by Director General of Education Fadi Yarak, and Director of Guidance Hilda El Khoury, in the presence of the President of the Association of Banks, Dr. Salim Sfeir. back.

Al-Majzoub requested that “international funds transferred to education be considered as fresh dollars,” Salameh explained that “it will be spent in Lebanese pounds, according to an exchange platform.”

Then the Minister of Education asked the Association of Banks to “raise the ceiling of the monthly withdrawals for teachers and public and private schools,” and the Association promised to study the request.

Al-Majzoub also requested “not to block professors’ accounts with banks, especially those that do not witness movement,” so the association promised to follow up on the matter.
