Sheikh Baha al-Hariri wrote on his Twitter page that what happened in Akkar is a catastrophe that we can’t keep silent about.

He said: “What happened in Akkar is a disaster that cannot be tolerated, and those responsible for this corrupt system must be held accountable, because they have brought Lebanon and its people to this stage, as needy people who are in dire need for the main life necessities are being killed.

“Akkar scorched our hearts and we will never keep it alone,” he said.

He added: “May God have mercy on our dead and our wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.”

ما حصل في عكار كارثة لا يمكن السكوت عنها ويجب محاسبة المسؤولين في هذه المنظومة الفاسدة من رأس الهرم لأنهم أوصلوا لبنان وشعبه إلى هذه المرحلة التي بات يُقتل فيها من يبحث عن أبسط مقومات الحياة.

عكار حرقت قلوبنا ولن نتخلى عنها!
