On the seventeenth anniversary of the Cedar Revolution, Bahaa Hariri stated that Lebanon requires a new uprising to deter Iranian expansion.

“A month after the assassination of my martyr’s father, the Lebanese people rose up on March 14 against the Syrian tutelage, calling for freedom, sovereignty, and independence,” Hariri said on Twitter, adding that “17 years after the freedom uprising, we need a new uprising that puts an end to the Iranian expansion.”

Hariri emphasized that the spirit of the Cedar Revolution would live on until Lebanon was liberated.
