Sheikh Bahaa Hariri said on his Twitter account: “History shows that all wise Lebanese who advocated its sovereignty, unity & ending sectarianism for its citizens were assassinated/disappeared to ensure warlords controlled the minds of the people.

He added: “Today we miss the patriots who gave their blood faithfully at the altar of freedom.”

يشهد التاريخ أن كل حكماء لبنان الذين نادوا بسيادته ووحدته وكسر الطائفية بين أبنائه، قد تم اغتيالهم أو إخفاؤهم لضمانة سيطرة أمراء الحرب على عقول الشعوب. كم نفتقد اليوم أشخاصًا مشهوداً لهم في الوطنية قدّموا دمَاءهم أمانة على مذبحِ الحرية.
