Sheikh Bahaa Hariri mourned Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan, and he tweeted on his Twitter account:

With his passing, Lebanon lost a national stature and a symbol of moderation. I extend to the Lebanese in general and the moderates in particular, my deepest condolences on death of the head of Supreme Islamic Shiite Council, Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan.
