“Two weeks ago we warned that Akkar became as if it were outside the country because of the fuel gangs that were blocking roads and stations and hijacking tankers,” MP Gebran Bassil, said Sunday via his Twitter account.

“Akkar must be declared a military area to protect its security and its people, and for this reason the government must meet to take the decision, and stop the decision of the Central Bank Governor that causes chaos and generates srtife… and this is its result,” he added.
