Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Friday cabled felicitations to the Secretary General of China’s Communist Party’s Central Committee, President Xi Jinping, marking the centenary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party.

In his cable, Speaker Berri called for strengthening Lebanese-Chinese cooperation and coordination in various fields, especially the legislative field, in a bid to serve the interests of both countries.

Berri also sent a congratulatory telegram to Annita Demetriou upon her election as head of the Cypriot Chamber of Deputies.
