Berri: “Hope all will be good”

The meeting convened in Baabda Palace between President Michel Aoun, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Najib Mikati, ended without making any statement, except for a quick response from Berri, to a Berri question if the situation had “resolved”, as he said “God willing, it will be fine.”
In a separate context, observers believe that Lebanon’s independence is not complete this year, in light of the economic crises and the Gulf estrangement with Lebanon as a result of Information Minister Georges Kordahi’s statement about the Yemen war, who despite all the pressure refused to resign.
There is no Independence Day in 2021, during which the “Cedar Country” has become crushed under the weights of a sweeping collapse that has gone out of everyone’s control and is now controlled by two correlating driving forces, financial related to the technical causes of the global storm, and political related to the deep causes of “free fall,” that pioneered 10 years ago with launching the“systematic nibbling” of the Lebanese reality and its balances – which has been mostly hidden behind the “protector” pretext, since 2005 – in the power game, leading to its complete “transfer” to the “Hezbollah” alliance with the “Free Patriotic Movement.”
