Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said, on occasion of Resistance and Liberation Day: “I salute the 100,000 martyrs of the Palestinian Resistance, as well as the detainees and prisoners. The Palestinian geography has become the size of the universe, and whoever has a determination like Gaza’s will surely be victorious”.

Berri considered that “If crises continue without a quick and immediate initiative, then they will topple Lebanon, and everyone must sense the danger of the current stage”.

Berri called “for liberating Lebanon from the hatred of sectarianism, as the real future for fortifying Lebanon is through a civil state and the adoption of an electoral law”. He also called “for liberating Lebanon from the occupation of monopolists regarding people’s livelihood and everything related to their lives, and freeing depositors’ money from banks, in addition to liberating the judiciary”.

“We must acknowledge that our current governmental problem is 100% internal, and I call for a government that regains the world’s confidence in Lebanon and for abiding by the Constitution and listening to people’s pain”, Berri added.
