House Speaker Nabih Berri has scheduled a seventh session to elect a president of the republic for Thursday, November 24, after adjourning the sixth session due to a lack of quorum in the second round of voting.

In the first round of vote, MP Michel Mouawad obtained 43 votes, while 46 MPs cast a blank ballot.
