Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Abdallah Bou Habib met his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio, on the sidelines of the Rome Mediterranean Conference, where they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the support that Italy provides to Lebanon on the political, economic and financial levels. The Italian aid to the army and the Lebanese armed forces was also discussed, in addition to projects that could contribute to strengthening the state’s institutions and administrations. Minister Di Maio affirmed his country’s continued participation in UNIFIL for the interest of Lebanon, its stability and sovereignty.
