“Sawt Beirut International” learned that the judicial investigator in Beirut port explosion file, Judge Tariq Bitar, listened today to the testimonies of five witnesses, and will listen tomorrow to three others.

Defense attorneys for most of the detainees submitted requests for their clients release, Judge Bitar referred these requests to the Discriminatory Public Prosecution to explore its opinion before deciding on whether to accept or refuse. The Public Prosecutor, Judge Ghassan Al-Khoury, began studying it before issuing  his opinion, and determines the Public Prosecution’s relevant stance.
