Bitar sets dates for interrogating Machnouk, Khalil and Zuaiter

“Sawt Beirut International” learned that the judicial investigator in the Beirut port explosion, Judge Tariq Bitar, decided to summon the deputies Nohad Al-Mashnouq, Ali Hassan Khalil and Ghazi Zuaiter, as defendants of negligence and possible intent that led to the murder.

Judicial sources reported that Bitar set September 30, as the date for the interrogation of Al-Machnouk, and the first of next October as the date for Khalil and Zuaiter interrogation, and decided to inform them through the General Secretariat of the House of Representatives and to send the notification note by the discriminatory Public Prosecution.

According to informed sources, the decision of summoning the three deputies, came a few hours after the government of Najib Mikati won the confidence in a  parliament’s exceptional session, which was during the governmental vacuum phase, which renders the aforementioned deputies without parliamentary immunity from now until the beginning of the regular session on October 19.
