Head of the National Committee for Covid Vaccine, Dr. Abdel Rahman Al-Bizri, called In a statement, on the Lebanese and non-Lebanese to receive the vaccine tomorrow, Sunday, in the centers specified by the Ministry of Health in the Bekaa, Akkar and Baalbek-Hermel governorates, considering that “ vaccination rate in these areas is low.” compared to other regions, and that this step will encourage citizens to receive the vaccine.”

He added, “The Pfizer vaccine will be available in these centers for those above 60 ” stressing that it is “a good step forward in order to increase immunity rate in society and protect those who are most vulnerable to severe infection.”

He concluded, “the improvement in Lebanon’s classification internationally and in some European countries regarding the low rate of community spread of the virus, confirms the validity of the measures taken, but it should not be a reason for inaction and escaping health directives and social distancing.”
