The black-market exchange rate of the US dollar versus the Lebanese pound remains reasonably constant.
The dollar reached 97,000 LBP for sale and 97,300 LBP for purchase on Wednesday morning.
In this regard, economist Antoine Farah said in an interview with Al Markaziya that one of the key and direct causes for the dollar’s continuous decline can be noticed by examining the “banking” platform via which the Central Bank pumps the currency into the market.
