The black market dollar witnessed a significant and sudden rise today, Monday 9-1-2023, in light of leaks from sources close to the Banque du Liban regarding a new mechanism for working on an exchange platform.

The exchange rate in some areas ranged between 45,400 and 45,400 pounds against one dollar.
