In the early evening hours, the black market dollar recorded a price ranging between 89,200 and 89,500 Lebanese pounds per dollar.
On Thursday morning, prices were recorded ranging between 89,650 and 89,750 Lebanese pounds per dollar.
In addition, the journalist specializing in economic affairs, Khaled Abu Shakra, had previously confirmed that “liberalizing the exchange rate is a basic principle of the demands of the International Monetary Fund and all donors.”
He considered that “it is impossible to operate with an economy that attracts foreign investments in the absence of a free exchange rate determined according to supply and demand.”
