The Beirut First Investigative Judge, Charbel Bou Samra, referred to the Public Prosecutor of the Court of Special Jurisdiction, seven statements of case for defense submitted by attorneys-in-law of seven officers accused of the new illicit enrichment crime.

Sever consideration of the cases initiated, in conformity with the Public Prosecutor’s follow-up, who requested to examine the eight cases separately, and to consider each case separately, starting with direct summoning of the Former Army Commander, General Jean Kahwaji, the highest ranking among the eight defendant officers.
