George Boujikian, the caretaker minister of industry, paid a visit to the Technical Institute for Food Industries on Tuesday in the central Bekaa city of Qob Elias.

The tour comes in the context of an ongoing tripartite cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and the Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education in order to secure technical and vocational education and training for students with specializations before joining the labor market in a bid to provide them with the required high skills and experience.

For his part, Boujikian stressed the importance of the institute. “We are working on forming a committee to jointly reactivate the Technical Institute and the Industrialists’ Association through joint re-financing to revive it in the future.”
