Caretaker Minister of Industry, MP George Boushkian, pursued Sunday his visit to France, where he inaugurated the Lebanese pavilion at the SIAL exhibition of food products held in the French capital.
Boushkian met with the Lebanese Carrefour Retail Executive General Manager, Ramy Beitieh, who accompanied him on a tour around one of Carrefour’s sales centers in Paris. He explained that “Lebanon’s products occupy the fifth place among their global counterparts required for consumption, and this is a matter of pride for the Lebanese industry.”
For his part, Boushkian praised the Lebanese achievements, both in terms of human resources and the innovative and creative Lebanese mind in various job opportunities and in multiple sectors in which the Lebanese have succeeded over others, thanks to their knowledge, culture, dedication, multilingualism and extensive experience.
He added: “We are also proud of the Lebanese industrialist, who built a wide reputation legacy that was passed down through generations, who then developed and modernized it.”
Boushkian continued, “With his determination, individual initiative, courage and bravery in facing dangers and challenges, the Lebanese industrialist managed to deliver ‘Made in Lebanon’ to all parts of the globe, and this was evident in the Lebanese pavilion at SIAL and the good reputation that Lebanon’s industrialists and products enjoy,” reiterating that Lebanon’s national products ranked fifth in terms of consumption among foreign products.
