Member of Gas Station Owners’ Syndicate, George Brax, tweeted that “it is not possible to lift the subsidy on gasoline, and the price of the plate has exceeded 200 thousand, while the station’s commission is maintained at 6000 Lebanese pounds.”

He indicated that “we are following up with the concerned parties for a solution, but we will not accept this situation anymore. Our understanding of the general situation’s sensitivity, and our compulsion to accept losses, does not mean that we cannot reject it and act on this basis in the future.”
