Brax says, Car queues will remain as the Iranian fuel will not meet the market’s needs

The Member of the Gas Stations Owners’ Syndicate Georges Brax said we have sounded alarm several times previously that we would reach to a place that the country will experience gasoline and diesel outages.

He added that the fuel subsidies have been lifted currently and that a new a new price schedule has been issued.”

Brax said in a radio interview, that “the oil importing companies will start distributing fuel, but there are some companies waiting for the ships, and the car queues will reduce on Monday.”

Regarding Iranian diesel, Brax said “the quantities imported from Iran will not fulfil the market needs and part of it will be provided to hospitals, but it will certainly not be able to take the role of importing companies.”

Brax said that “as long as the need for gasoline is still not enough for the market, queues will remain in front of the stations, and what is required is liberalizing imports.”
