Earlier this morning, bread truck drivers have closed bakeries across Tyr region, blocking their entrance with their trucks, and protesting against “lack of bread distribution”. Bakeries were warned by drivers and banned from reopening until their situation being resolved. They underlined that “it’s not with the bakeries that they continue to fight but with the competent ministry”, while stressing to be “resorting to negative measures in the event that the Ministry does not settle their issue,” holding the state accountable for the suffering of the citizens.

The movement was surrounded by army members in order to prevent any riot, while the bakeries have stopped functioning and selling bread, except for sweets, French bread and cakes that were available, so the citizens had to buy them instead of bread.
