Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Wednesday welcomed KSA Ambassador to Lebanon, Waleed Bukhari, with whom he reaffirmed the brotherly and loving relations between Lebanon and the Saudi Kingdom, which has always extended relentless support for the Lebanese people and government.
Attachment to the Taif Agreement, from which the Lebanese constitution emerged, has been confirmed during the meeting.
The pair also broached the international reactions to the KSA’s OPEC+ decision to reduce oil production. Within this framework, Mikati expressed full confidence “in the wisdom of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially based on the central role it plays in stabilizing the global economic system amid this delicate stage.”
Mikati finally deemed dialogue and partnership the best means to serve regional and international security and prosperity.
