Minister of Industry Georges Bushkian called for the Lebanese-Iraqi relations to be an example to be followed to include all Arab countries and achieve the Arab common market.
During the Iraqi-Lebanese Business Conference in Baghdad, Bushkian said: “Our need for each other constitutes a motive and an element of strength and fortification of our economies amid a ruthless globalized system, in light of the spread of a frightening and deadly global epidemic.”
He added: “I call for the Lebanese-Iraqi relations to be an example to be followed in order to include all Arab countries and achieve the Arab common market, thus increasing its strength and influence in the regional and international arenas.”
Bushkian continued: “Mine and the Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals’ signnature on a memorandum of cooperation yesterday, between the ministries of industry in Lebanon and Iraq, a step in the right direction, and a fundamental course in strengthening and developing bilateral relations.”
