The Central Bank said in a statement that a meeting was held on October 21, with the Governor of the Central Bank Riad Salameh, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Saadeh Al-Shami, Minister of Finance Youssef El-Khalil, Minister of Economy and Trade Amin Salem, Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund Mahmoud Mohieldin and his advisor, Maya Choueiri.”

The statement added, “The meeting was positive, and the government’s priorities were discussed, especially with regard to a comprehensive economic project.”
