Civil aviation: Halat plane disappeared from radar screens

The General Directorate of Civil Aviation said in statement: “On November 13, 2021, the aircraft belonging to the Aero club Lebanon, type CI72S, with registration OD_PMS, took off from Rafik Hariri International Airport in Beirut at 10:00 local time, towards Jbeil coastal, based on a flight plan previously approved by the Navigation Authority, which is affiliated to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

At about 10:24 local time, the plane disappeared from the air navigation radar screens over the sea in the Halat area, and there were two people on board, including the pilot.”

The Minister of Public Works and Transport formed a committee comprising specialized experts to investigate this accident and gave directions to the committee to complete the investigation as soon as possible.”
