A number of young men were injured, as a result of clashes that escalated into a shooting, this afternoon, due to filling gasoline at gas stations in Aramoun. The wounded man was moved to a nearby hospital in the area.
Another clash in front of another station developed into shooting and caused a state of panic among the citizens. The army deployed in and around the two sites to pursue the perpetrators.
The fuel crisis continues as the country has turned into long “queues” of cars, amid severe outages in diesel and gasoline.
On the other hand, the International Support Group for Lebanon stressed that the deteriorating situation in the country “highlights the urgent need to form a government capable of implementing the required reforms, meeting the urgent needs of the Lebanese people, and paving the way for international support.”
The support group called on “all parties to work towards forming a capable government without any delay.”
