Raja Salameh, brother of the Governor of the Banque du Liban, Riad Salameh, did not appear before the first investigating judge in Mount Lebanon, Nicolas Mansour, to be questioned in an investigation session that was scheduled today, due to the injury of Judge Mansour’s clerk to the Corona pandemic, which forced him to close the entire department in preparation for its sterilization, and to take appropriate health measures. .

In this context, a judicial source at the Justice Palace in Baabda confirmed to “Sawt Beirut International” that Judge Mansour will set a new date for the interrogation of Raja Salameh, who was arrested by the Appeal Public Prosecutor in Mount Lebanon, Judge Ghada Aoun, last Thursday, and she claimed yesterday with his brother Riad Salameh and his wife. Ukrainian Anna Kozakova on charges of “money laundering and illicit enrichment”.

He added: A decision will be taken either to issue an arrest warrant against Raja Salameh or to release him, provided that a date will be set for the interrogation of the central bank governor and his wife, and he will summon them as soon as Raja’s interrogation is completed.

In addition, the Financial Advocate General, Jean Tannous, summoned Raja Salama, to interrogate him with a file related to the “forry” company and the suspicions surrounding him of embezzlement and money laundering.

It is reported that it is a separate file from the file that was brought against him by Judge Ghada Aoun, based on the complaint of the “Pioneers of Justice,” which was referred to the first investigative judge, Nicolas Mansour.
