The Beirut Court of Appeal, headed by Judge Habib Rizkallah, decided to separate Case No. 69 submitted by former Minister Youssef Fenianos, in which he requested the dismissal of the judicial investigator, Judge Tariq Bitar from Beirut Port explosion file, from Case No. 72 in which he requests that the Court of Appeal, Presided by Judge Nassib Elia, to be suspended from deciding on the case of Bitar’s suspension, due to legitimate suspicion. Judge Rizkallah returned Case No. 69 to the court headed by Elia, as it is the only competent authority to decide on the request for the disqualification of Bitar.
