The Civil Court of Cassation, headed by Judge Rola Al-Masry, rejected the lawsuit submitted by the two former ministers, Ali Hassan Khalil and Ghazi Zuaiter, in which they requested the suspension of the President of the First Chamber of the Court of Cassation, Judge Naji Eid, and prevent him from considering the claim of dismissal of the judicial investigator in the Beirut port crime , Judge Tariq Bitar, because of the litigation with Eid, who previously refused to disqualify Bitar.

The court considered that the reasons for Judge Eid’s suspension are not available, because the litigants’ elements are not present, and should have been based on strong and clear evidences.
