Dar Al-Fatwa issued the following statement:

“Dar Al-Fatwa of the Lebanese Republic announced that the beginning of AH 1443-year falls on Monday August 9 2021 AD.

The Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, congratulated the Lebanese in general and Muslims in particular on the new AH year, asking God Almighty to prevail stability, security and peace in Lebanon and the region and to make it a blissful year.”
