The Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, affirmed that the statements of the Indian official against the Prophet Muhammad and insulting him are rejected, and this is a kind of terrorism and misleading against the Prophet of Islam.

Derian added, According to a statement issued by his office, Derian alongside many scholars in Lebanon and the Arab and Islamic countries during his participation in the religious conference in Egypt, raised this condemned and denounced issue of a disgraceful and unacceptable attack that affects all Muslims in the world, calling on the Arab League and Islamic organizations in the world, to reject and hold accountable all those who transgress against Islam, its Prophet, his family and his companions, because this stirs the feelings of Muslims, and leads to conflicts between contemporary humanity.
