Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, on Monday welcomed at Dar Al-Fatwa , British Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell, with discussions touching on the means of cooperation between the two countries, and the British support for Lebanon at this time.

Mufti Derian also received a delegation of Beiruti dignitaries, headed by former Minister Mohammed Choucair.

On emerging, Choucair said that the visit was an occasion to affirm the delegation’s support for the Grand Mufti in his national endeavour in light of critical circumstances that Lebanon is going through.
