Detainees of nitrates found Bekaa appear before the military investigative judge today

The detainees in the “Bekaa Nitrate” case appear today before the military investigative judge, Marcel Bassil, after the file was referred to him by the first acting military investigative judge, Fadi Sawan.

It is noteworthy that the security forces seized earlier 20 tons of ammonium nitrate in a truck in the city of Baalbek, in the northern Bekaa.

The Minister of Agriculture in the previous government, Abbas Mortada, said earlier that “the specifications required for the quality of ammonium nitrate allowed to be brought into Lebanon, should not exceed 30 gauge, and that investigations are underway to determine whether this seized substance is legal and conforms to the specifications.”
