Following Minister of Interior and Municipalities Judge Bassam Mawlawi’s circular regarding the deadlines for submitting nomination permits and registering lists for the 2022 Parliamentary Elections, Edgar Mofeed Boulos from Koura submitted to register his candidacy, being the first official candidate for the Greek Orthodox seat in the upcoming elections.

Boulos, born in 1970, had entered the political arena in 2009 as a candidate for Koura and in 2018 for Beirut, to return and run again this time as a candidate in Koura.
