Caretaker Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Abbas Al-Halabi, on Friday met with Egyptian Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, on the sidelines of his participation in the “International Scientific Francophonie Week” held in Cairo.

The meeting took place in the presence of Minister Halabi’s accompanying delegation comprising the Secretary-General of the National Council for Scientific Research, Professor Tamara el-Zein, the Minister’s Bureau Chief Ramza Jaber, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Lebanese Embassy in Cairo, Rihab Bou Zein.

Discussions reportedly touched on the means of strengthening the bilateral cooperation in the field of university education and scientific research.
