Election observers are ready

Ayman Dandash, a member of the Administrative Board of the “Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections” (LADEC), pointed out that “the commission’s units, including fixed and mobile observers, will be fully prepared to accompany the electoral process. The number of members in these units is about 1,000, and their tasks are divided between Follow-up the work of the registration committees in the pens and monitor the sorting operations.

In an interview with the online newspaper Al-Anbaa, Dandash indicated that “a strange phenomenon was observed during the polling process for the employees on Thursday, as there are a number of polling station chiefs who are not familiar with the electoral law and voting mechanisms.”

With regard to the violations monitored by “Ladi”, Dandash stated that “there are frequent violations between the elections of employees and expatriates alike, including the failure to guarantee secrecy, in addition to organizing election campaigns inside the polling stations.”
