Electricité de Zahlé (EDZ) said that communications are undertaken to avoid power outages for a city that hosts more than 300,000 citizens and to secure diesel fuel for power generation.

EDZ said that 120,000 liters has been secured with the efforts of Archbishop Essam Yohanna Darwish, Governor Judge Kamal Abu Joudeh and the Minister of Energy and Water Raymond Ghajar.

EDZ hoped that concerned people would join their efforts to secure the company’s needs of diesel fuel, which is estimated at 250,000 liters per day, to reduce power rationing and provide electricity all day long.”
