The Zahle Electricity Company indicated in a statement that it “will make a gradual and tangible improvement in the electrical feed, provided that each subscriber rationalizes consumption according to his ability.”

And it called on “subscribers who want to reduce the value of the bill, to apply self-rationing in terms of cutting the subscription “Deginctor” at the times they deem appropriate.”

It called on them to “avoid electric heating, because the cost of energy production is set to rise with the insane deterioration of the exchange rate of the lira, and after the removal of subsidies on diesel fuel and its purchase in cash”, explaining it “is committed to this program, except in cases of force majeure, such as a fuel outage or the collapse of the Lebanese network or others.”
