The European Union spokesman stressed that EU will impose sanctions on Lebanese figures who are blocking reforms or elections.

The Parliamentary plenary session held today at the UNESCO Palace under the chairmanship of Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, and the provision of setting  March 27 as the date of elections was approved, as was the expatriate vote for 128 representatives.

“We will appeal to move the date of the polls to March 27,” stated Gebran Bassil, the president of the Free Patriotic Movement, to which Berri responded, “No one can threaten me! I tolerate anything except threats!”
