The Ambassadors of many European nations in Lebanon commended Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib for Lebanon’s position on the Russian-Ukrainian dispute.
This happened at a meeting with Bou Habib, who was joined by the ambassadors of Denmark, the Netherlands, Poland, Chargé d’Affaires of the Czech Republic’s Embassy, and the German Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires.
They also reviewed the Lebanese case in Ukraine and the assistance offered to them by countries, particularly Poland.
Bou Habib also met with Paul Ahern, Principal Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism Financing and Financial Crimes, Eric Mayer, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for the Middle East, and Caitlin Buzes, Political Adviser. He updated them on the delegation’s talks with the banking and financial sectors.
Minister Bou Habib visited the United Nations Special Coordinator in Lebanon, who informed him that she will travel for New York in the middle of this month to submit a report on Lebanon before the UN Security Council meeting. They also talked about the approaching parliamentary elections, including the ministry’s attempts to make voting easier for expatriates living overseas.
